Cuboid Fracture

stockphoto01.png

The cuboid bone sits on the outer side of the midfoot and helps support weight transfer during walking. Cuboid fractures are often caused by crushing injuries or twisting of the midfoot. Symptoms include outer foot pain and difficulty walking. Stable fractures can heal with casting, but surgery may be necessary for complex injuries.
